About Botanical TisanesWhat are botanical tisanes?
Botanical tisanes are herbal infusions made from flowers, leaves, roots, fruits, seeds and other plant parts. Unlike traditional black, green or white tea, most botanical tisanes do not contain tea leaves from Camellia sinensis and are often naturally caffeine-free.
About Botanical TisanesAre your blends considered tea or herbal medicine?
Our blends are sold as food-grade botanical tisanes for flavour, aroma, ritual and everyday enjoyment. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any health condition.
About Botanical TisanesAre your blends naturopath formulated?
Yes. Each blend is thoughtfully created by a qualified naturopath using traditional herbal knowledge, flavour pairing, aroma, colour, energetics and sensory experience. The focus is on creating beautiful daily rituals, not therapeutic treatment products.
About Botanical TisanesWhat makes Ital Botanical Blend different?
Ital Botanical Blend combines traditional herbalism, sensory formulation and modern ritual. Each blend is crafted to offer more than just flavour — the colour, aroma, texture and botanical character are all considered to create a meaningful tea moment.
Choosing a BlendWhich blend should I choose for the evening?
For a soft evening ritual, choose Ital Evening Wind. It contains lemon balm, skullcap, passionflower, linden and jasmine buds for a gentle, floral and herbaceous cup.
Choosing a BlendWhich blend is best after meals?
For an after-meal tea moment, choose Ital after-meal garden. It has chamomile, lemongrass, ginger, meadowsweet, dandelion root, peppermint and wood betony, giving a floral, citrus-warm and lightly minty finish.
Choosing a BlendWhich blend is best for cold brew?
Ital Ruby Breeze is designed for cold brewing. Hibiscus gives a bright ruby colour, while elderflower, hawthorn, gotu kola, lavender, peppermint and stevia create a fruity, floral and refreshing botanical infusion. However, Ital Ruby Breeze can also be consumed as a hot beverage and tastes as beautiful and aromatic as the cold brew.
Choosing a BlendWhich blend is best for everyday use?
Ital Daily Ritual is your everyday green botanical tisane. It contains tulsi, lemon balm, alfalfa, moringa, gotu kola, brahmi and calendula for a green-gold cup that is earthy, lemon-herbal and softly floral.
Choosing a BlendWhich blend is best for cooler months?
Ital Melbourne Breeze is crafted as a seasonal botanical tisane for cold mornings, rainy afternoons and winter rituals. It contains tulsi, chamomile, elderberry, rosehip, ginger and echinacea.
Choosing a BlendWhich blend is closest to coffee?
Ital Morning Bitter is the best option if you enjoy dark, roasted and earthy flavours. It contains roasted chicory, roasted dandelion, burdock root and ginger.
Caffeine & IngredientsAre your blends caffeine-free?
Yes, the current Ital Botanical Blend launch range is naturally caffeine-free. We do not use black tea, green tea, white tea or yerba mate in these blends.
Caffeine & IngredientsDo your blends contain artificial flavours?
No. Our blends are created using whole botanicals and natural plant ingredients. We do not rely on artificial flavouring to create the taste.
Caffeine & IngredientsDo your blends contain sugar?
No refined sugar is added. Some blends may contain naturally sweet botanicals, such as stevia, to soften the flavour profile.
Caffeine & IngredientsAre your blends vegan?
Yes. The blends are made from plant-based ingredients and do not contain animal-derived ingredients.
Caffeine & IngredientsAre your blends gluten-free?
The ingredients are naturally gluten-free; however, always check the product label and allergen information. If you have coeliac disease or severe sensitivities, contact us before purchasing so we can confirm the most current supplier information.
Brewing & StorageHow much tea should I use per cup?
As a general guide, use 1–2 teaspoons per cup. For larger leaves and flowers, you may prefer a heaped teaspoon or tablespoon depending on your taste preference.
Brewing & StorageHow long should I steep the blends?
Most botanical tisanes are best steeped for 5–10 minutes. Roots, berries and roasted botanicals may benefit from a longer infusion for a fuller flavour.
Brewing & StorageShould I cover the cup while steeping?
Yes. Covering your cup or teapot helps preserve the aromatic qualities of the botanicals and gives a fuller sensory experience.
Brewing & StorageCan I add honey, lemon or milk?
Yes. Honey and lemon work beautifully with many botanical blends. Milk is best suited to Ital Morning Bitter, especially if you enjoy a roasted, coffee-style cup.
Brewing & StorageCan the blends be cold brewed?
Yes, but Ital Ruby Breeze is the best option for cold brew. Add the blend to cold filtered water and allow it to infuse in the fridge for several hours or overnight.
Brewing & StorageHow should I store the blends?
Store your blends in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture and strong odours. Seal the pouch properly after opening to preserve freshness, aroma and flavour.
Safety & UseCan I drink these blends every day?
The blends are created as food-grade botanical tisanes for everyday enjoyment. However, individual needs vary. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a health condition, seek advice from a qualified health practitioner before regular use.
Safety & UseCan children drink these blends?
Some blends may be suitable for older children in small amounts, but they are primarily created for adults. Seek professional advice before giving herbal blends to children, especially if the child has allergies, takes medication or has a medical condition.
Safety & UseCan I drink these blends during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Please seek advice from a qualified health practitioner before using herbal blends during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Some botanicals may not be suitable during these stages.
Safety & UseCan I drink these blends while taking medication?
If you take prescription medication, have a diagnosed medical condition or are under medical care, speak with your healthcare provider before using herbal blends regularly.
Safety & UseDo any blends contain allergens?
Our blends contain botanicals from different plant families. For example, chamomile, calendula and echinacea belong to the daisy family, which may not suit people with allergies to related plants. Always read the ingredient list before use.
Product & OrderingAre your blends loose leaf?
Yes. Our blends are loose leaf botanical tisanes, allowing you to see, smell and experience the whole botanicals in each blend.
Product & OrderingDo I need an infuser or teapot?
Yes, loose leaf blends are best prepared using a tea infuser, tea strainer, teapot with infuser, or reusable filter.
Product & OrderingHow many cups will I get from one pouch?
This depends on the blend, serving size and how strong you like your tea. As a general guide, lighter flower and leaf blends may require a larger spoonful, while root and roasted blends are denser and may go further.
Product & OrderingWhy do some blends weigh less than others?
Different botanicals have different densities. Flowers and leaves are lighter and take up more space, while roots and roasted ingredients are heavier. For this reason, pack weights may vary between blends.
Product & OrderingCan I reuse the herbs for a second infusion?
Some blends may be infused a second time, although the flavour will usually be lighter. Roasted roots, berries and larger leaves often hold up better for a second steep.
Product & OrderingDo you offer sample packs?
Sample packs may be offered depending on availability. They are a great way to explore the range before committing to a full pouch.
Product & OrderingDo you offer wholesale?
Wholesale enquiries are welcome. Please contact us with your business details, location and the products you are interested in stocking.

Brand & QualityAre your ingredients ethically sourced?
We aim to source ingredients with care, quality and respect for the plants, growers and customers who enjoy them.
Brand & QualityWhy do batches sometimes look slightly different?

Brand & QualityWhat does “ritual” mean in your product names?
For us, ritual means slowing down and making a simple moment meaningful. Each blend is created to support a particular tea moment — morning, evening, after meals, cold brew, winter days or daily botanical enjoyment.
